femmenoire: The Suffering Will Not Be Televised: African American Women and Sentimental Political Storytelling by Rebecca A. Wanzo I haven’t had time to read this yet but I’ve been meaning to rec this for a while. She used to teach at my uni. This book is in front of me. I am reading it this weekend for my work on Black women’s sexuality. #SoBrilliant. Nice to see other little bears on tumblr peeping her. Writing is an solitary process…but in seeing this I feel less alone….
